Our Day

Today was Our Day... basically, a day of merrymaking. The kids brought food to share with their classmates and enjoyed a day off, while the teachers worked hard tabulating their marks. When I first showed up to school, I was swarmed by students handing me food... packages of biscuits, juice boxes, toffees, chocolate bars. There were so many gifts I couldn’t carry them all, so some of the girls helped me take them to the staff room. After assembly I went around to each of the classrooms, greeting the students, and realizing how much I’m going to miss them during our three-week Christmas break!
